Harold Shaw (Football, 1994-97)
Was one of the most productive and punishing tailbacks in school history during his career from 1994 to 1997...Nicknamed "The Big Train" for his ability to run over defenders and get the extra yard...As a freshman he rushed for 393-yards on 82 carries with seven touchdowns and helped the Golden Eagles upset LSU in the season finale in Baton Rouge...As a sophomore in 1995 he rushed for 295 yards on 87 carries...Emerged as one of the team's top offensive stars in 1996 when he rushed for 491 yards on 178 carries and scored eight touchdowns while leading the team to a share of the first Conference USA championship...As a senior, he rushed for 1,045 yards on 245 carries and scored 16 touchdowns while leading the team to the outright Conference USA championship and a 41-7 victory over Pittsburgh in the Liberty Bowl...He finished his career with 2,224 yards on 592 carries and scored 32 touchdowns...Was also a talented recover out of the backfield and finished his career with 51 receptions for 298-yards and two touchdowns...Was also utilized as a kick-off returner with 14 returns in his career for a 17.1-yard average...Named all-Conference USA following the 1997 season.
