Charles Dedwylder (Football 1959-61)
Was a three-year letter winner and a two-year starter for Coach Pie Vann from 1959 to 1961 as a two-way end...In 1959 he caught five passes for 78-yards (15.6-yard average) and a touchdown and returned one kick-off as a valuable reserve...In 1960 he moved into the starting lineup and finished second on the team in pass receiving with 10 catches for 115-yards (11.5-yard average)...AS a senior in 1961 he led the team in pass receiving with a career high 20-catches for 276-yards (13.8-yard average) and two touchdowns...On defense he was widely recognized as one of the team's top pass rushers and defenders against the run during his career and a valuable player on the specialty teams.
