Buddy King (Football, 1986-89)
Was a four-year letterman at offensive tackle for the Golden Eagles from 1986 to 1989...A starter during the 1988 and 1989 seasons...Spent the first two seasons of his college career at defensive tackle...As a defensive tackle in 1986 he played in eight games and had 11 tackles, two quarterback sacks and a tackle for a loss...In 1987, he had 10 tackles and a tackle for a loss...In 1988 anchored an offensive line that scored the second most points in school history (315) and complied the fourth highest offensive output at that time (4,005 yards)...Got his aggressive play from spending his first two years on defense...Helped to lead Eagles to 1988 Independence Bowl...Played in the 1989 Blue-Gray all-star game.
