Francis Forte arrived at Southern Miss in August of 2021 following his graduation from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in May where earned his Bachelor's of Journalism in Sports Media & Communication. As a Graduate Assistant in Communications, he serves as the SID for the softball, volleyball and women's tennis programs.
Forte worked in the Nebraska Athletic Department from 2018-2021 as the primary communications contact for the nationally-ranked women’s gymnastics program. He also assisted with almost every Husker athletic program and wrote feature stories for Huskers.com and Nebraska football game day programs.
The Hackettstown, NJ native also served as a communications, game day operations & social media intern for the Lincoln Stars of the United States Hockey League during the 2020-21 season. Forte then served as a media coordination volunteer for the 2020 NCAA Women's Volleyball Tournament in April of 2021.
Forte and his wife, Taylor, live in Hattiesburg while he works toward his master's in Sport Management.
