- Volunteer Assistant Coach
Register arrives to the Hub City after five years at Florida State. The Davie, Fla. native obtained his bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from FSU in 2021 and spent the next year in Tallahassee.
While at Florida State, Register served as a manager for the Seminoles' beach volleyball program, aiding in the program's day-to-day operations and match days. He also worked as the program's tournament director from 2021-22, facilitating and setting up home tournaments in Tallhassee.
Register also works with AVP America as an operations team leader, planning travel and team logistics for competing teams at AVP events. He also made his coaching debut at Leon High School (Tallhassee, Fla.), finishing second in the FHSAA Volleyball Tournament. Current indoor volleyball Golden Eagle, Cailin Demps, prepped at Leon.
"I'm grateful and looking forward to being a part of the Southern Miss beach volleyball staff who know so much about the sport," said Register. "I see this is an opportunity to not only help the players become better athletes, but an opportunity to become a better coach."
