Pearson came to Southern Miss as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in October of 2018.
He works mainly with the Baseball program, serving the team by conducting rehabilitation and evaluating treatments. He also assists the Director with insurance billing in the fall and is a Preceptor in the Athletic Training Program. Pearson oversees Coke and Powerade orders and also oversees the graduate assistants serving volleyball and beach volleyball.
Prior to Southern Miss, Pearson worked at the University of Louisville from August to October of 2018 as their Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainer, working with their men's and women's tennis programs. From 2016 to 2018, he worked at Louisiana Tech as their Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer, working with baseball. In 2015 until 2016, Pearson was at the University of Maryland as a Resident Athletic Trainer, working with Baseball. Finally, he served Lander University as an Intern Athletic Trainer from 2014-15, working women's soccer, men's basketball, and softball.
Pearson earned his Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training in 2014 from Northern Illinois University. While at Louisiana Tech, the Oak Lawn, Illinois native earned his Master's in Administration of Sport and Physical Activity in 2018.
