Southern Miss Athletics Announces 2026 M-Club Hall of Fame Class

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss M-Club Alumni Association, in conjunction with the department of athletics, has announced its seven-member 2026 Hall of Fame class.
The inductees are: Jamie Collins (Football, 2009-12); Jamierra Faulkner (Women's Basketball, 2010-14); Darrell Lindsey (Baseball, 1985-88); Jeffrey Posey (Football, 1995-96); Ashley Reyer-Castleman (Women's Track & Field, 2004-07); and former track & field and cross country head coach Wayne Williams with former associate athletic director for sports medicine Todd McCall joining the class as an honorary inductee.
The 2026 Hall of Fame Class will officially join the ranks of former Golden Eagle greats at the M-Club Alumni Association Hall of Fame Induction Banquet on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Southern Oaks in Hattiesburg. The newly inducted members will be formally introduced to the public for the first time on Saturday, October 17, 2026, during Southern Miss' home football game against Arkansas State.

Jamie Collins (Football, 2009-2012)
One of Southern Miss' most vaunted names, Jamie Collins served as a versatile member of the Nasty Bunch from 2009 to 2012 and quickly became a nationally respected star. Collins, a native of McCall Creek, Mississippi, arrived in the Hub City in 2009 to play defensive back. He played in all 13 games for the New Orleans Bowl-bound Golden Eagles as a key piece of the defensive backfield.
He moved to linebacker in 2010 and earned honorable mention All-C-USA honors after playing in 12 games and making starts in six of the last seven games of the season. Ahead of the 2011 season, he took over as the "Bandit" defensive end and enjoyed a breakout campaign. He led Southern Miss with 19.5 tackles for loss – 10th most in the nation – and anchored the Nasty Bunch en route to the 2011 Conference USA Title and berth in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl. He was named a permanent team captain in 2012 and was named to the Conference USA First Team and Fourth-Team Phil Steele All-American Team.
Collins was selected to play in the 2013 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, and went on to be drafted by New England in the 2013 NFL Draft with the 52nd overall pick (Round two; pick 20). Collins played 10 seasons in the NFL with New England (2013-16, 2019, 2021-22), Cleveland (2016-18) and Detroit (2020). He was a key member of the Patriots' Super Bowl XLIX victory in the 2014 season, starting at linebacker and finishing the game with a team-high eight-combined tackles. He retired from the NFL in 2022.
Collins currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina, with his wife Katrina and five children: Jamie Jr. (12), Jackson (5), Jakobia (4), Kamari (1) and Jakary (1). He coaches inside linebackers for the North Carolina Tar Heels under Coach Bill Belichick.

Jamierra Faulkner (Women's Basketball, 2010-2014)
A four-year letterwinner under Joye Lee-McNelis from 2010 to 2014, Jamierra Faulkner took the Lady Eagles to new heights in Conference USA. After signing with Southern Miss for the 2010-11 season, the West Palm Beach, Florida, native quickly made her presence known. She was thrice named the C-USA Freshman of the Week and was selected to the All-Freshman Team after leading Southern Miss in points, assists, steals and free throw percentage.
She stepped up her game as a sophomore in 2011-12, opening up a streak of 95 consecutive games started, which lasted until her final game at Southern Miss. She earned All-C-USA First Team honors for the first time and improved the Lady Eagles' win totals as well. She earned a spot on the All-C-USA Tournament Team in 2011-12 after averaging 23.5 points in Southern Miss' surprise run to the quarterfinals. Her junior year brought with it national acclaim as she again made the All-Conference USA First Team and was twice named C-USA Player of the Week.
After leading Southern Miss in points, assists, steals and free throw percentage, she slotted onto the 2012-13 Conference USA All-Defensive Team and earned a finalist selection in the 2013 Gillom Trophy voting. Faulkner became the fourth player in program history to record a triple-double with 16 points, 10 assists and 10 steals against Loyola New Orleans on Dec. 15, 2012, and the only player to do so with 10 steals.
As a senior in 2013-14, she was named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year, First-Team C-USA, C-USA All-Defensive Team, C-USA All-Tournament Team and as a finalist for the Gillom Trophy. She became the third player in program history to score 2,000 points and led Southern Miss to a school-record 27 wins and a 13-3 C-USA finish, reaching the C-USA Title Game for the first time ever. She won the 2014 Gillom Trophy and was a finalist for the 2014 Nancy Liberman Award after leading Division I with 8.6 assists per game.
She was drafted the Chicago Sky in 2014 and played 149 games in the WNBA before retiring in 2020. Faulkner currently resides in West Palm Beach where she works as a mental health technician for We Level Up.

Darrell Lindsey (Baseball, 1985-1988)
One of the early stars of modern Southern Miss baseball, Darrell Lindsey earned four letters under Coach Hill Denson from 1985 to 1988. He ended his career as the program's all-time leader in complete games (23), strikeouts (374), starts (55), wins (29), decisions (53) and inning pitched (381 2/3). Lindsey still leads the program charts in complete games, strikeouts and decisions and is second in starts and innings pitched.
He made his debut as a freshman in the 1985 campaign with 12 appearances and nine starts, posting a 4-3 record and 5.43 ERA. He tallied two complete games and registered 33 strikeouts in total. Lindsey improved as a sophomore, working 113 2/3 innings across 17 appearances and 16 starts. He finished 1986 with a 9-7 record and tossed nine complete games on the year with 121 strikeouts to 64 walks. Named All-Metro Conference Pitcher as a sophomore and pitched Southern Miss to an upset of No. 1 Florida State. His 16 decisions in 1986 set a school record while maintaining a 3.25 ERA.
As a junior, he set a new school record for decisions once again with an 8-9 record in 113 2/3 innings in 24 appearances and 16 starts. He finished his career in 1988 with 14 more starts and 18 total appearances, tossing five complete games. He struck out 114 of 448 batters faced. His efforts gave Southern Miss its first-ever winning record in Metro Conference play in 1988 with a 9-6 ledger. He was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 1988 MLB Amateur Draft in the 38th round.
Lindsey appeared in 129 games and tallied a 31-31 record in five years of minor league ball. After retiring from professional baseball, Lindsey began work in the construction industry. He currently resides in Flowood, Mississippi, with his children Quinton and Tyra where he works as a general contractor at L&R Construction.

Jeffrey Posey (Football, 1995-1996)
A two-year letterwinner that helped lead Southern Miss to its first Conference USA championship in 1996, Jeffrey Posey quickly became one of the most feared members of the Nasty Bunch defense. He arrived in Southern Miss after two years at Pearl River Community College and made his debut in 1995 by playing in all 11 games as a reserve defensive end.
The Bassfield, Mississippi, native recorded 20 total tackles and two for loss as a true freshman. He was named a team captain as a senior in 1996 and posted 68 total tackles and 16 tackles for loss for 83 yards. He also tallied seven-and-a-half sacks for 65 yards lost, blocked a kick and forced two fumbles.
He finished his career with 88 tackles (46 solo), 18 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks. He is still tied for the most forced fumbles in a game with two against Louisville and tied for the fifth-most sacks in a game with three against Tulane. He helped Southern Miss to a 14-8 overall record in his two seasons, ending in 1996 by capturing the first-ever C-USA title.
Posey signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 1997, starting a 10-season career in the NFL that saw him play in 139 games and make 75 starts. He recorded 354 total tackles (236 solo) and 20.5 sacks.
Posey resides in Hattiesburg with his wife Latalia their five children: Tyler, Jeramie, Joshue, Christian and Kyra. He currently works as a sales consultant at Pine Belt Chevrolet Buick.

Ashley Reyer-Castleman (Women's Track & Field, 2004-2007)
One of the best all-around athletes in Southern Miss' storied history, Ashley Reyer earned four letters for the Golden Eagles from 2004-07 as a standout athlete in the heptathlon and pentathlon.
Reyer, a native of Petal, Mississippi, arrived in Hattiesburg as a freshman and immediately began climbing the pentathlon and heptathlon, finishing eight and seventh at the Conference USA championship meets, respectively. Improved to fifth in the pentathlon on the indoor side as a sophomore with 3,455 points and fourth in the heptathlon in the outdoor C-USA championship with 4,903 points.
In 2006, she earned First Team All-C-USA honors in the heptathlon after winning the C-USA Title with 5,392 points and qualified for the NCAA national championship where she finished 14th in country. She set a new program record that stands today in the event and still holds program records in the 4x800-meter relay and shuttle hurdle relay.
On the indoor side, she also earned second-team Pentathlon honors in 2006, posting a then-best 3,735-point performance at the C-USA Indoor Championship. As a senior in 2007, she finished second in the pentathlon again and set a program record of 3,801 that has yet to be beaten. She also earned second team honors in the heptathlon.
She earned national acclaim on April 26, 2007, when she captured the heptathlon crown at the prestigious Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa. Reyer won the 98th running of the event with 5,217 points where she won the long jump (18-5¾) and 800 meters (2:15.67) to finish over 300 points ahead of second place.
After graduating from Southern Miss, Reyer stayed on as a graduate assistant in from 2007-09 and then as a full-time assistant from 2009-10. Reyer resides in Hattiesburg with her husband Stephen and the couple's two children, Reid (13) and Stephen (11). She currently works as a national sales trainer for Abbvie.

Wayne Williams (Men's/Women's Track & Field Head Coach, 1998-2007)
Wayne Williams helped usher Southern Miss into the modern age after taking over the men's and women's track and field programs and men's and women's cross country programs in the fall of 1997. Williams took over for legendary Golden Eagle head coach Marshall Bell as just the second leader of the program since its resurrection in the 1980s.
A native of Fairfield, Alabama, Williams arrived at Southern Miss after 21 seasons at Alabama as one of the country's top assistant coaches. His impact in Hattiesburg was near instantaneous as he positioned the Golden Eagles within reach of the Conference USA title. Even with the elimination of the men's cross country program following the 1999 season, Williams' programs continued to succeed. Southern Miss' record finish in the 2000 Conference USA Outdoor Championships earned him women's outdoor coach of the year honors from Conference USA and from NCAA Region 9.
Williams' leadership saw the Golden Eagle record book continually rewritten as over 80 records fell under his tutelage. He coached six individuals to 11 NCAA All-American selections in his ten-year tenure with Raquel Washington (twice), Tanika Liburd, Cedric Norman (thrice), Wenston Riley (twice), Jason Wilson and Cornielius Duncan (twice) all earning national praise. Fifty-two athletes claimed a gold medal in his time in the Conference USA Championships as well.
After his retirement from Southern Miss in 2007, he began working at Presbyterian Christian School in Hattiesburg as the Bobcats' head cross country and track and field head coach where he has won numerous state championships. He and his wife Judi live in Hattiesburg.

Honorary Inductee Todd McCall (Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine, 2003-2026)
For 24 years, Todd McCall dedicated himself to the betterment of Golden Eagle student-athletes as the associate athletic director for sports medicine at Southern Miss. The Elba, Alabama, native picked up the vaunted mantle of head athletic trainer in 2003, becoming the fourth person to hold the title since 1958.
With great names like Larry "Doc" Harrington, Jim Gallaspy and Matt Smith all coming before him, McCall had quite large shoes to fill. McCall was returning to Southern Miss after five years away from Hattiesburg. He originally arrived in the Hub City as a graduate assistant in 1996 and worked two years with the football team while earning his master's degree.
As he returned to Southern Miss in 2003, he was awarded the Jack Davis Professional Achievement Award from The University of Alabama for outstanding professional accomplishments in the field of athletic training. He worked his entire career as a certified member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and also worked with NFL Training Camp, the CFL Shreveport Pirates and the Blue/Gray All-Star Game in Montgomery, Alabama.
In 2015, McCall was named the Collegiate/University Athletic Trainer of the Year by the Southeast Athletic Trainers Association. In 2021, he was honored by the Southern Miss Division of Student Affairs as a Distinguished Friend of Student Affairs for his work improving the lives of Southern Miss student-athletes. He also received The University of Southern Mississippi's Staff Excellence Award in 2023.
Following his retirement from Southern Miss in 2026, McCall began work with the Houston Gamblers of the United Football League. He currently resides in Hattiesburg.

The Southern Miss M-Club Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization that serves as the official letterwinner association for all current and former Golden Eagle student-athletes. Named for the 'M' sewn into letterman jackets athletes received at Mississippi Southern College in the 1930s and 40s, the M-Club gives former student athletes the opportunity to engage and build a relationship with the Southern Miss Department of Athletics and its 17 collegiate sports. The M-Club is built specifically for student-athlete alumni to connect with and provide mentorship to current student-athletes and to help them balance the demands of academics, athletics and extracurricular activities.

Inaugurated in 1965 with a 21-member class, the M-Club Hall of Fame has served as the ultimate honor for athletes at The University of Southern Mississippi for over 60 years. Individuals are eligible for the M-Club Hall of Fame 10 years after their last year of competition at Southern Miss and must be persons of good character and reputation that attained outstanding athletic accomplishments as either a student-athlete, coach, associate of a tea, administrator, representative of The University of Southern Mississippi or in professional sports. Each year, current M-Club Alumni Association Members are tasked with inducting new members to the Hall of Fame and celebrating them at the annual M-Club Hall of Fame Banquet.

He coached six individuals to 11 NCAA All-American selections in his ten-year tenure with Raquel Washington (twice), Tanika Liburd, Cedric Norman (thrice), Wenston Riley (twice), Jason Wilson and Cornielius Duncan (twice) all earning national praise. Fifty-two athletes claimed a gold medal in his time in the Conference USA Championships as well.
After his retirement from Southern Miss in 2007, he began working at Presbyterian Christian School in Hattiesburg as the Bobcats' head cross country and track and field head coach where he has won numerous state championships. He and his wife Judi live in Hattiesburg.

Honorary Inductee Todd McCall (Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine, 2003-2026)
For 24 years, Todd McCall dedicated himself to the betterment of Golden Eagle student-athletes as the associate athletic director for sports medicine at Southern Miss. The Elba, Alabama, native picked up the vaunted mantle of head athletic trainer in 2003, becoming the fourth person to hold the title since 1958.
With great names like Larry "Doc" Harrington, Jim Gallaspy and Matt Smith all coming before him, McCall had quite large shoes to fill. McCall was returning to Southern Miss after five years away from Hattiesburg. He originally arrived in the Hub City as a graduate assistant in 1996 and worked two years with the football team while earning his master's degree.
As he returned to Southern Miss in 2003, he was awarded the Jack Davis Professional Achievement Award from The University of Alabama for outstanding professional accomplishments in the field of athletic training. He worked his entire career as a certified member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and also worked with NFL Training Camp, the CFL Shreveport Pirates and the Blue/Gray All-Star Game in Montgomery, Alabama.
In 2015, McCall was named the Collegiate/University Athletic Trainer of the Year by the Southeast Athletic Trainers Association. In 2021, he was honored by the Southern Miss Division of Student Affairs as a Distinguished Friend of Student Affairs for his work improving the lives of Southern Miss student-athletes. He also received The University of Southern Mississippi's Staff Excellence Award in 2023.
Following his retirement from Southern Miss in 2026, McCall began work with the Houston Gamblers of the United Football League. He currently resides in Hattiesburg.
About the Southern Miss M-Club Alumni Association
The Southern Miss M-Club Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization that serves as the official letterwinner association for all current and former Golden Eagle student-athletes. Named for the 'M' sewn into letterman jackets athletes received at Mississippi Southern College in the 1930s and 40s, the M-Club gives former student athletes the opportunity to engage and build a relationship with the Southern Miss Department of Athletics and its 17 collegiate sports. The M-Club is built specifically for student-athlete alumni to connect with and provide mentorship to current student-athletes and to help them balance the demands of academics, athletics and extracurricular activities.
About the Southern Miss M-Club Hall of Fame
Inaugurated in 1965 with a 21-member class, the M-Club Hall of Fame has served as the ultimate honor for athletes at The University of Southern Mississippi for over 60 years. Individuals are eligible for the M-Club Hall of Fame 10 years after their last year of competition at Southern Miss and must be persons of good character and reputation that attained outstanding athletic accomplishments as either a student-athlete, coach, associate of a tea, administrator, representative of The University of Southern Mississippi or in professional sports. Each year, current M-Club Alumni Association Members are tasked with inducting new members to the Hall of Fame and celebrating them at the annual M-Club Hall of Fame Banquet.
