Golden Eagles Earn Key Wins Across Singles and Doubles in Youngsville

YOUNGSVILLE, La. – Southern Miss men's tennis wrapped up an action packed weekend at the Youngsville Hidden Duals, showcasing grit against a strong field that included Louisiana, Tulane, and Tyler Junior College.
The Golden Eagles opened the event with a big highlight in doubles, as Saheb Sodhi and Eric Perkowski edged Louisiana's Landreth/Ribero in a 7-6(5) thriller. The pair carried their momentum into Day 2, defeating Tulane's El Kordy/Nisbet 7-6(9) in another tense tiebreak, and then closed the weekend by topping Tyler JC's Marincas/De Regt 7-5. Their undefeated run established the duo as one of the bright spots of the tournament.
In singles, Robin Noltorp delivered steady performances, defeating Louisiana's Ribero 7-6(5), 6-4, and later earning a three-set win over Tyler JC's Van Geel 6-3, 2-6, 11-9. Sarkar also stood out with back-to-back singles victories, cruising past Tyler JC's Miyazaki 6-3, 6-2, before rallying for a gritty comeback win over Meryumoglu 2-6, 6-3, 10-8. Sodhi added a commanding 6-1, 6-3 win over Tulane's Delgadillo.
