Southern Miss Finishes Fourth Day of Fall Camp Saturday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss football team pushed its fourth day of fall camp, Saturday, up an hour to beat some of the expected oppressive heat that was set to hit the region.
The Golden Eagles worked in helmets and shells for the second-straight day and got in a two-hour, 20-minute workout on Carlisle-Faulkner Field at M.M. Roberts Stadium.
"It was a great day four and just beautiful weather again, thank the Good Lord for that," said fourth-year Southern Miss football coach Will Hall. "It was the second day in pads and got some installation of red zone. We really spent a lot of time last as a football team talking about what it means to be in the high-red to the low-red. Our kids have taken the next steps for situational football and understanding that. I am just proud of how we are working and how we are growing. We've got a long way to go, but we've got pieces to work with and they are really fun to coach."
The Golden Eagles will take Sunday off before returning to the practice fields for day five of fall camp Monday morning.
