Golden Eagles Set to Host Bowling Green in MAC-SBC Challenge

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss men's basketball team will host Bowling Green in the MAC-SBC Challenge on Monday, Nov. 4 at Reed Green Coliseum.
The Golden Eagles fell at Akron in last season's MAC-SBC Challenge opener but then trounced Western Michigan in Hattiesburg during the second leg of the Challenge. The Sun Belt picked up 15 wins against the MAC last season, including a 10-2 record in the February contests. The November meeting against the Falcons marks the first time the two teams will meet on the hardwood.
The Challenge consists of 12 games, but Marshall and ULM will not participate due to the MAC having two fewer teams. First round matchups are determined by final NET Rankings from the 2023-24 season, with the Sun Belt hosting the first-round games in November. The second round will be determined by live NET Rankings at a later date in the season.
