Crowley Named NABC First Team All-District 23

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second consecutive season, Southern Miss men's basketball senior guard Austin Crowley was named NABC First Team All-District 23. The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division I.
Crowley averaged a career-best 16.0 points per game and was third in the Sun Belt with 17.2 points per game in league action. The West Point native scored at least 10 points in 27 of the 31 games he appeared in, including a career-high 30-point night against Old Dominion. He was named the Sun Belt Preseason Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year last season. Crowley has 1,331 career points and has 1,023 career points as a Golden Eagle. It only took Crowley 63 games at Southern Miss to reach the 1,000-point mark, making him the seventh-fastest player to do so.
The West Point native averaged 4.4 boards per game, the most he averaged during his five-year career and bested his previous career high in rebounds with 135. Crowley dished out 102 assists and had 38 steals on the season. He was named Second Team All-Sun Belt by the leagues coaches.
