The Almanac Tabs Crowley with Preseason Sun Belt Honors

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss senior guard Austin Crowley is the recipient of multiple preseason honors from The Almanac, the annual college basketball season preview released by The Field of 68 staff on Wednesday.
Crowley was tabbed First Team All-Sun Belt and "Best Pro Prospect" in the Sun Belt by the league's coaches. The preseason honors from The Almanac come after Crowley was named Player of the Year and First Team All-Sun Belt by the Blue Ribbon Magazine in early September. The Golden Eagles were also picked as preseason favorites by the magazine.
The West Point, Miss. and Ole Miss transfer is coming off a breakout campaign where he guided the men's basketball team to a Sun Belt Regular Season Championship. Crowley averaged 16.0 points per game as he was named the 2023 Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-Sun Belt. He was also named NABC All-District 23, a Lou Henson All-American and was a finalist for the Howell Trophy.
The Golden Eagles open the 2023-24 season on Nov. 6 against William Carey. Season Tickets are available for the 2023-24 season.
