UAB to Host Men's Basketball in First Round of NIT Tuesday Night

HATTIESBURG, Miss. --Â The Southern Miss men's basketball team is headed back to the National Invitational Tournament for the first time since 2011. The Golden Eagles will travel to UAB on Tuesday, March 14, to take on the Blazers at 6:30 p.m. CST.
The entire 32-team field was released on Sunday night during the NIT's selection show on ESPNU. The Sun Belt Regular Season Champions were the only team from the conference to get a spot in the tournament.Â
Ticket information can be found here. The 2023 semifinals and championship move to the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas for one year after a storied 83-year history at Madison Square Garden in New York. NIT games are being televised by ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN+.
