The Molly Ringwalds Open 2022 Free Spirit Park Live Concert Series

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The 2022 Southern Miss football season kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 3, with the return of Spirit Park Live presented by Gulf South productions. Offering an '80s music experience, The Molly Ringwalds will start off the free gameday concert series inside Spirit Park beginning at 3 p.m.

Deriving their name from popular 1980s actress Molly Ringwald, the group has been playing classic 80s rock and pop hits to nostalgic fans and a new generation as well. The Molly's are billed as the World's Greatest 80s Experience. Hailing from Sheffield, England, this quintet has been able to combine their individual and very formidable talents to create the true essence of the most radical decade ever to be called "The 80s."Â

More musical acts and events inside Spirit Park will be announced at a later date. All fans are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy Spirit Park Live for the 2022 football season. Fans can enjoy several different food trucks from the local community, sign up for Seymour's Sidekicks and enjoy the inflatables in Jr. Eagle Funland, and watch games from across the country on the super-sized video screens from your favorite tailgate spot.

The countdown to game time begins five hours prior to kick off with live music on Southern Station beginning three hours prior and catch an opportunity to see your favorite Golden Eagle at the long-standing tradition of the Eagle Walk beginning two hours prior.Â
