New Episode of the Inside Southern Miss Athletics Podcast Debuts

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – A new episode of the Inside Southern Miss Athletics podcast, powered by Learfield, premieres Wednesday, July 20.
The free podcast includes the Voice of the Golden Eagles, John Cox, as he conducts various interviews with former and current Southern Miss student-athletes, Athletic Department personnel and other special guests weekly.
On Inside Southern Miss Athletics this week, Cox chats with Athletic Director Jeremy McClain about Golden Eagle athletics, including the upcoming football season and other fall sports that will begin play in the Sun Belt Conference. Jerry DeFatta, the Executive Director of the USM Alumni Association, stops by to talk about some of the upcoming summer events going on with football coach Will Hall around the region, while defensive coordinator and inside linebacker coach Austin Armstrong talks with Cox about The Nasty Bunch defense and preparations for the 2022 season.
