HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss men's basketball team will host Charlotte on Saturday afternoon in the regular season finale. The Golden Eagles (6-24, 1-16 C-USA) will tipoff against the 49ers (16-13, 9-8 C-USA) in Reed Green Coliseum at 2 p.m. CST. Southern Miss will honor senior managers Nicholas Ray and CJ Ruffin prior to the game.

The Need to Know
- The Golden Eagles will face Charlotte for the first time this season and it will also act as the regular season finale before they head to Frisco for the Conference USA Championships.
- Southern Miss had four starters score in double figures in Wednesday's game against UAB - Walyn Napper (16), Isaih Moore (16), DeAndre Pinckney (14), Denijay Harris (12).
- Tyler Stevenson is 28^th all-time on the Southern Miss scoring list with 1,171 points. He trails James Williams (1981-85) by 18 points.
- Napper's 29 points in last Saturday's overtime loss at Rice was a career mark for the sophomore guard. He teetered on triple double numbers with eight rebounds and seven assists.
- Napper's 2.03 assist to turnover ratio ranks third in C-USA. Charlotte's Aly Khalifa leads the way with a 2.06 assist to turnover ratio.
- Moore's six blocks against UTSA last homestand was the most by a Golden Eagle since Gary Flowers tallied seven against New Orleans in 2009.
- The Golden Eagles are looking to shake a 13-game losing streak and win their first C-USA contest since winning at UTSA on Jan. 6.
- Head coach Jay Ladner needs one win to reach 100 for his career.

Scouting the 49ers
- Ron Sanchez enters his fourth season as the head coach at Charlotte, holding a 49-63 record to this date.
- Jahmir Young is second in scoring in C-USA at 19.8 points per game, eighth in double-doubles (5), first in total field goals made (196) and first in total points (573). He ranks 24^th nationally in total points.
- Center Aly Khalifa is averaging 7.6 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, and 3.6 assists per game.
- Khalifa has been named C-USA Freshman of the Week five times, including the week of his 19-point performance against Marshall on the road. Young has been named the C-USA Player of the Week once.
- Charlotte is coming off a 60-56 win against C-USA East Division leaders Middle Tennessee on Wednesday night. Young went for 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Austin Butler added 12 and Clyde Trapp has 11.

- The Golden Eagles head to Frisco, Texas for the Conference USA Championships on Tuesday, March 8. Southern Miss will take on sixth-seeded UTSA at 7 p.m. CST. The game will air ESPN+.
