Southern Miss Prepares for Auburn Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Golden Eagles make final preparations before the action-packed weekend in Auburn, Alabama. The Plains for the Auburn Invitational is the second tournament of the Golden Eagles' 2021 campaign. The Golden Eagles begin the tournament taking on the Auburn Tigers Friday, March 5 in a doubleheader at 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. (CT).
In day two of the tournament, Southern Miss will match up against Troy in a doubleheader at 9:00 and 11:30 a.m. (CT).
Last time out
Southern Miss (11-5-0) looks to improve their record after dropping a weekday contest to LSU on Tuesday, March 2. The game ended after six innings of play. Southern Miss threw three pitchers on the contest. Offensively Caroline Worrell and Heather Hill led the way for the Golden Eagles each hitting a double before the games' conclusion.
