Southern Miss Announces Virtual Fan Day for Saturday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The past several months have been trying times nationwide, but Southern Miss Athletics is proud to announce a safe opportunity for Golden Eagles everywhere with a Virtual Fan Day set for Saturday, Aug. 29.
8:30 a.m. - Southern Miss Virtual 5K and Fun Run, fueled by Powerade (Register here)
Roll call for the event. Runners are encouraged to use #SouthernMissV5K when posting to social media, and they can either do the entire distance at once or spread over Saturday and Sunday.Â
9 a.m. - Yard Sign Pick-Up (only available for pick-up beginning Saturday).
9:30 a.m. - Autograph Giveaway
11:30 a.m. - Family Pack Giveaway (Football season tickets)
1 p.m. - Seymour's Sidekicks
Members are invited to pick up their packets for the year and take a socially-distanced photo with Seymour at the new Southern Miss Wellness Volleyball Facility (next to Reed Green Coliseum and 4th Street). Packets and photos will be available until 3 p.m. To register for the program, click here.
1:30 p.m. - Basketball Season-Ticket Giveaway (Southern Miss Athletics Facebook page)
3 p.m. - Virtual Spirit Squad Youth Clinic
Learn cheers from Southern Miss Cheer. Fans are encouraged to follow the Southern Miss Cheer Instagram accounts for a special clinic.
4 p.m. - Football Q-and-A (Submit yours here)
Fans are able to submit questions for head football coach Jay Hopson and select student-athletes. Be sure to tune into the Southern Miss Athletics Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to see if your question was answered.
