Men's Basketball All-Decade Team Announced

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The fans have spoken through week-long, online voting, and Southern Miss has its All-Decade Men's Basketball Team. Returning senior LaDavius Draine earned the distinction of being the leading vote-getter.
Eligibility criteria included student-athletes who appeared in any games during the decade.

LaDavius Draine (2017-present)
- Enters senior season ranked third in school history for career three-pointers (178)
- Has 921Â points through first three seasons
- C-USA Sixth-Player of the Year in 2019 as a sophomore
- Broke school-record for three-point percentage that season with 46.4 percent clip
- Made 23-straight free-throws as a junior, the fifth-longest streak at the school
Cortez Edwards (2015-19)
- Holds single-season (71) and career (200) steals records at school
- Finished No. 17 in scoring with 1,401 points
- Only one to rank in top-20 for scoring (1,401), top-15 for rebounding (635) and top-10 for assists (365) in program history
- Second-Team All-Conference as a senior; finished seventh at the school with 3,765 minutes
- All-Tournament Team in C-USA semifinal run as a junior, including 30 points against league-champ Marshall
Gary Flowers (2009-11)
- 1,078 points (16.8 per game), one of four Golden Eagles to reach 1,000 in first two years
- Scored 30-plus against East Carolina and Alcorn State, the latter serving as the school's last 30-10 game
- 2011 Howell Trophy winner, two-time All-Conference USA
- Last player to record five consecutive double-doubles
- Averaged 8.0 rebounds per game
- Seventh in school history for career blocks (104); second in class history with 60 as a junior
Tyree Griffin (2017-19)
- Finished with 434 assists in two years, good for No. 3 in school history
- Scored 965 points (14.4 per game)
- Holds two of the top-five single-season steals marks at the school (65 and 59)
- Finished fifth in the nation with 7.2 assists per game as a senior; Second-Team All-Conference
- 15 assists in 101-51 win over Marshall set school record against Division I opponent
Neil Watson (2011-14)
- 1,157 points (10.9 per game), to rank No. 29 all-time
- No. 4 in school history with 164 three-pointers
- Made program-record 51 consecutive free-throws as a senior
- Second in school history with 473 assists; third with 160 steals
- 2012 C-USA Newcomer of the Year
