Boban Jacdonmi Earns C-USA Winter Spirit of Service Honor

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss senior men's basketball forward Boban Jacdonmi has been named one of Conference USA's Winter Spirit of Service honorees.
The London, England, native was a fan favorite his two seasons on campus after transferring from Chattanooga State CC. He was active in team and individual efforts off the court throughout the school year. Jacdonmi's area involvement included Family Literacy Night at Purvis Lower Elementary School, numerous events at Petal Harvey Baptist Church and testimonies with Petal and Southern Miss FCA chapters. He also joined fellow senior Jerrod Rigby as team representatives on the school's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Jacdonmi played in 26 games with nine starts on the year, averaging 7.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest. His 29 points and 10 rebounds on Nov. 5 marked his first-career double-double and the most points by a Golden Eagle on Opening Night since Charles Gaines in 2004. Jacdonmi is majoring in liberal studies with a minor in sport management.
Southern Miss' fall service honoree was senior Regen McGee (cross country).
