Jack Abraham Named Semifinalist for NFF William V. Campbell Trophy

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss senior quarterback Jack Abraham has added to his extensive resume with a semifinalist nod for the William V. Campbell Trophy, which is annually bestowed by the National Football Foundation for the sport's top scholar-athlete.
Candidates for the awards must be a senior or graduate student in their final year of playing eligibility, have a GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, have outstanding football ability as a first team player or significant contributor and have demonstrated strong leadership and citizenship.
As a semifinalist, the Oxford native has:
Abraham, who plans to attend dental school after graduation, is 69-for-102 for 877 yards and five touchdowns this season. He also owns the school record for consecutive completions with 17 to start the Troy game last year.
The Golden Eagles return to action Saturday at North Texas for their road debut. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. CT on Stadium.

- An opportunity to receive an $18,000 post-graduate scholarship, which is awarded to each of the 12-to-14 finalists for the Campbell Trophy® Presented by Mazda.
- An opportunity to be the winner of the coveted 24-pound bronze Campbell Trophy, which comes with a $25,000 post-graduate scholarship and an appearance (virtual this year) on the Home Depot College Football Awards Show on ESPN.
- An opportunity to win a $5,000 donation from Fidelity Investments to support the school's academic services department.
