Southern Miss Softball Set to Host UTSA Over the Weekend

The Golden Eagles and the Roadrunners will play a three-game series at the Southern Miss Softball Complex.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss softball team (19-16, 5-7 C-USA) will host UTSA (17-18, 6-6 C-USA) in a weekend C-USA series at the Southern Miss Softball Complex in Hattiesburg on April 6th and 7th.

The Golden Eagles and the roadrunners will open the series with a doubleheader beginning at 11:00 a.m. (CT) on Saturday, April 6. Game two of Saturday's doubleheader will follow shortly after the conclusion of game one.

Southern Miss and UTSA will conclude the series with a 10:00 a.m. (CT) series finale on Sunday, April 7.

Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's series finale were originally scheduled to being at 1:00 p.m. (CT) but both game times were changed due to expected inclement weather.

In their last outing, Southern Miss shutout Sun Belt opponent South Alabama, 2-0 in a midweek road contest in Mobile, Ala. on Wednesday.
