Men's Basketball Hosting Annual Free Tip-Off Event Thursday at Brewsky's

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss Men's Basketball Hardwood Club is holding its annual free preseason event at Brewsky's (3818 W 4th Street) on Thursday, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
Fans of all ages are welcome and will also be treated to free hot dogs, chips and soft drinks. Seymour and the Southern Misses will also be on hand to greet attendees. This serves as the first opportunity for Golden Eagle supporters to meet the team and head coach Jay Ladner's inaugural staff. There will be an autograph table along the side, and each player and staff member will be introduced on stage.Â
"Thursday's event gives us an opportunity to promote our program," Ladner said. "It's not just for Hardwood Club members, but open to anyone who's interested. It gives everyone inner access to the program with our players and staff. I'm really excited about this."
Southern Miss opens its season with a Tuesday, Oct. 29 exhibition versus Mississippi College at 7 p.m. The regular season starts the following Tuesday against Delta State. Single-game and season tickets are available via SouthernMissTickets.com, calling 1-800-844-TICK or visiting the Pat Ferlise Center during normal business hours.
