Jack Abraham Named C-USA Midseason Offensive Player of the Year by The Athletic

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss quarterback Jack Abraham continues to get accolades for his play this season after being named Conference USA Midseason Offensive Player of the Year, Thursday, by the The Athletic.
Abraham ranks top-10 nationally in passing yards per game (322.7), completion percentage (71.7), yards per attempt (10.8) and passing efficiency (179.6). His total of 12 passes of at least 40 yards leads the nation, which already is more than his nine last season.
His stats also include 1,936 yards passing on 129-of-180 attempts with 12 touchdowns and only four interceptions. In addition, he has added three rushing touchdowns.
The redshirt junior from Oxford, Miss., has the Golden Eagles out to a 4-2 overall record and 2-0 in Conference USA Play.
Abraham is not the only Golden Eagle cited by the media outlet for his play this week. Redshirt sophomore Jaylond Adams was picked second-team midseason All-American at returner. The Adamsville, Ala., native was then honored by two more outlets later in the week, garnering All-America honors at kick returner from both Sporting News and ESPN.
The Golden Eagles are back in action this weekend when they travel to face C-USA West Division foe Louisiana Tech in a 2:30 p.m. contest. The game can be seen on the NFL Network as well as heard on an affiliate of the Southern Miss Sports Network from Learfield IMG College.
