Southern Miss' game time, broadcast info versus Auburn announced

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Sept. 29 football game between Southern Miss and Auburn will air at 3 p.m. CT on SEC Network.

It marks the 23rd all-time meeting between the schools and just the first since 2008. The first head-to-head came in 1946. Auburn, currently ranked as high as No. 9 in the AP poll, could be Southern Miss' first ranked non-conference opponent since No. 3 Alabama in 2014.

The Golden Eagles host Rice at 6 p.m. on Saturday night in The Rock. Tickets can be purchased through SouthernMissTickets.com, calling 1-800-844-TICK, or visiting the Pat Ferlise Center during normal business hours.
