Southern Miss to host Football 101: Chalk Talk for Ladies on Tuesday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Forrest General's Spirit of Women and Southern Miss play host to the 10th-annual "Football 101: Chalk Talk for Ladies" event, Tuesday, July 31, from 6-9 p.m. at the Giannini Touchdown Terrace inside Carlisle-Faulkner Field at M.M. Roberts Stadium. The deadline to sign up is Friday, July 27.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. in the Duff Athletic Center lobby (north side of stadium). Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite Southern Miss apparel and comfortable shoes.
Fans can meet Southern Miss football coach Jay Hopson while also enjoying an evening of food, fun and football. Rotate through various stations in the locker room, team room, and weight room learning more about the day to day behind Southern Miss football. Hear from Hopson and Southern Miss players as they talk about the ins-and-outs of Southern Miss football and the upcoming season with the Golden Eagles.
Those in attendance can start the season off in style by getting a first-hand look at the latest in Southern Miss fan apparel and the team's new adidas jerseys for the season. All attendees will have a chance to run onto the field and have a photo made with Hopson.
The cost to attend is $25 for Spirit of Women and Eagle Club members or $35 for non-members, which includes a catered dinner. Limited space is available.
Other fantastic opportunities include a photo with Coach Hopson, door and raffle prizes, a Q-and-A session with the coaches, tour of the weight and locker rooms and the opportunity to run onto the field just like gameday.
