2018 Football Propmotional Schedule – Nov. 3 vs. Marshall

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Each week this summer, Southern Miss will release the game day promotions for each game as well as share changes to game day for the 2018 season. Check out the bottom of the article for more information on previous game promotions.
On Nov. 3, the Golden Eagles host Marshall in a Conference USA matchup. The game will be the annual Military Appreciation. The game is a tribute to active and retired military throughout Mississippi and surrounding communities.
"With bases in Meridian, on the Coast, and here in Hattiesburg, as well as large numbers of retired military that call South Mississippi home, our Military Appreciation game is such an important part of our community," said Stephen Pugh, Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations.
The game will feature a flyover, recognition of all the branches of the armed forces, a swearing in ceremony of new recruits, vehicles on display around the stadium, and numerous other festivities. Military personnel can receive free admission for them and their families by showing a military ID at the ticket window. These tickets are provided by fans that purchase Seats for Soldiers tickets. For $10 fans can purchase a ticket for military personnel and Southern Miss will match their purchase with an additional ticket. The game will also be the first Golden Eagle Scout Campout. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts can spend the night on the football field after the game. For $20 Scouts will get a ticket to the game, and the opportunity to pitch a tent and spend the night on the field. The event includes dinner and a movie on the field.
The Marshall game will also mark the 2nd Annual Run to the Rock Softball 5K. The inaugural race featured over 100 runners weaving through the Southern Miss campus with a unique finish inside the football stadium. Last season, the University of Southern Mississippi announced new safety measures, including a clear bag policy and an updated golf cart policy. Fans can also continue to take advantage of the Season ticket holder referral program. For each successful referral, the original season ticket holder will receive their choice of a $20 future credit on their ticket account up to $200 or a $20 voucher for concessions in M.M. Roberts Stadium up to $100. On the tenth successful referral the fan will receive a personalized Southern Miss football jersey. On the 15th successful referral, the fan will receive an all-inclusive trip to a road game. Season Tickets start at $110 per seat and are the best deal on tickets. Season Ticket holders receive access to exclusive events, discounts on additional single game tickets, priority access to post season tickets, the same seat for every game and prizes and giveaways throughout the year.
