HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Gameday App is back for the 2016-17 Athletic Year...and better than ever! The Southern Miss Athletics Department, always devoted to improving the gameday experience for fans, joined forces with IMG College and SportsLabs to develop the Southern Miss Gameday App in 2014. The app quickly became a hit with fans across the country and continues to include new features every year.
The newest features for the coming year include the ability to purchase tickets, merchandise and experience upgrades directly from the app as well as viewing player rosters and keep up to date in real time with scores across the country including top 25 action and Conference USA play. The gameday app continues to provide audio broadcasts of football, men's and women's basketball and baseball games and this year include the radio coaches show held weekly.
The Southern Miss Gameday app truly is a must-have for any Golden Eagle fan and provides the ultimate second screen experience with in game team stats, player stats, a social media stream, gameday maps, . Whether you are in the stands at The Rock or keeping up with the team on the road, the Gameday app is your one-stop shop for all things pertaining to gameday.
"Now in our third year of the Southern Miss Gameday app, we wanted to ensure a much more robust experience within it," Senior Associate Athletic Director of External Affairs Brent Jones said. "Ensuring a one-stop shop for all things Southern Miss related, we are very pleased with the partnership of SportsLabs and look forward to continuing to be on the cutting edge of technology for our fan experience."
The Gameday app also provides fans with custom alert notifications. Unsure of when the Eagle Walk takes place? Don't worry - an alert will let you know when the Eagle Walk begins prior to every home game! Looking for the pregame radio show? Check the Gameday app to stay in the loop.
The Golden Eagles kick off the 2016 Football season on the road at the University of Kentucky on Saturday, September 3 at 6:30 p.m.
