Southern Miss Coach Jay Hopson
On what he thought of practice...
"I thought today was better than yesterday. We had a good Monday. Yesterday we didn't have that great of a day. Today we had a better day. We just have to keep going."
On Jerry McCorvey stepping in on the defensive line...
"That's just the next guy up. That's football. If someone get injured, that's what you do. In football, the next guy has to step up. That's just the way it is and that's how it is always going to be. There's always going to be an injury in football here or there. It's just the next guys time up and that's the way we have to look at it."
On the depth at Defensive Line...
"We have Rod (Crayton), DeMarrio (Smith), Jauan (Collins) and a couple of young guys that will play this year. We have Jerry, LaDarius (Harris) in there. That's what we have to do. Some of those young guys are going to have to play and that's just the reality of it."
On Biggest thing the team will have to do against Kentucky...
"We have to take care of the little things. It's always a game of playing assignment football and it's always a big thing and that's what we'll go out and do."
On if the team's has done anything special this week for practice...
Not really. We're business as usual. Each game is the game so at the end of the day, we do our routine the way we do it each and every week. We don't do it different for any teams remaining. We just know we have a big game Saturday."
