Southern Miss Presents Trivia Night Benefiting Seats for Soldiers

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Golden Eagle fans are invited to join Southern Miss Athletics and The Porter Public House (201 West Pine Street) on Tuesday for Trivia Night benefiting the Seats for Soldiers Campaign.
The event will begin at 8 p.m. All proceeds will go towards purchasing tickets for local military personnel to attend Southern Miss Football games this season at The Rock. The cost for participating in Trivia Night is $10 for individuals or just $30 for a team of four.
Many prizes from local breweries, such as T-Shirts and fire pits, have been donated for the Trivia winners. The event also coincides with the Seats for Soldiers Campaign that Southern Miss announced in July. That endeavor gives military members an opportunity to attend a football game and witness firsthand the passion of Southern Miss. For $10, one can sponsor a military personnel member from local bases such as Camp Shelby and Keesler Air Force Base to attend a home game at The Rock.
Southern Miss begins its football season Sept. 3 at Kentucky before making its home debut Sept. 10 versus Savannah State at 6 p.m.
