Eagle Fest 2016 Announced for April 22-24

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Mark your calendars for April 22-24 because Eagle Fest is back! Make plans to join us for an exciting weekend with several events planned for fans of all ages to enjoy.
The weekend features a huge Conference USA baseball series against Rice that begins on Friday, April 22 at 7 p.m. in a nationally televised game on Fox Sports 2. Tickets for the game may be purchased now as part of our Black and Gold Mini Plans that are currently on sale now.
Saturday, April 23 will be and action-packed day for Golden Eagle fans with several exciting events planned for the day. The morning will include a Future Golden Eagles Football camp for children ages 4 to 8th grade at The Rock. Children will be able to take part in several drills with members of the Southern Miss Football team as part of this FREE clinic. Children will be able to register on the day of the event at Gate 1 of M.M. Roberts Stadium.
The annual Champions Brunch will also take place on Saturday and be held in the Giannini Touchdown Terrace. This event has quickly become a highlight of Eagle Fest and will feature an excellent panel of former Southern Miss football greats. More details about this event, including the full panel and ways to purchase tickets, will be released at a later date. Current Eagle Club members and football season ticket holders are eligible to purchase tickets to the Champions Brunch.
First year head coach Jay Hopson and the Southern Miss football team will have their annual Black and Gold Spring Game at noon on Saturday, April 23 in M.M. Roberts Stadium. Admission will be FREE for this contest with seating available in the Lower Deck of the West Side and in the South End Zone.
Fans that purchase or renew their football season tickets before April 1 will be automatically entered into drawings to win great prizes centered on the spring game. Five season ticket holders will win spots in the Visiting Athletic Director's Booth to enjoy the game. Additionally, five season ticket holders will win a pair of sideline passes to enjoy the action of the spring game up-close and in person from the sidelines. The grand prize winner will win the opportunity to have lunch with Coach Hopson and receive a jersey signed by him.

Immediately following the Black and Gold Spring Game, Golden Eagle fans will be able to enjoy The 5th Quarter Festival that will take place in Spirit Park. This event will feature tailgating, live music, free food and drinks as part of the Taste of the `Burg, inflatables, games and much more. This FREE event will include fun for fans of all ages and will conclude at 3:30 p.m. in time for all fans to make their way over to The Pete for a pivotal C-USA baseball game against Rice beginning at 4 p.m.
Saturday's baseball game against Rice will also be Lettermen Day at The Pete as Southern Miss recognizes all former players, coaches, managers, and trainers that have been a part of the Golden Eagle baseball program throughout the years. Baseball letterwinners that are interested in attending this event are asked to RSVP by emailing Kyle George at Kyle.George@usm.edu.
