Southern Miss Basketball Completes Road Swing Saturday at UTSA

SAN ANTONIO -- The Southern Miss men's basketball team returns to action Saturday afternoon when they finish a two-game Texas road swing in a 3 p.m., contest at UTSA.
The game will be telecast on the American Sports Network and can be seen in Mississippi markets including Columbus (WCBI-2/MyTV), Greenwood (Cox Sports TV) and Meridian (WMDN-2/Bounce) as well as nationally on satellite television via MASN (DirecTV Channel 640/Dish Network Channel 432).
The Golden Eagles (7-17 overall, 4-9 C-USA) look to snap a five-game losing streak against the Roadrunners after falling 78-73 Thursday night at UTEP.
Graduate transfer Kourtlin Jackson led the Golden Eagles with 17 points against the Miners to up his season-best team scoring average to 12.3 points per contest. Jackson has scored in double digits in each of the last three games, leading the team in scoring in all three contests.
Junior Khari Price ranks second on the team in scoring at 10.4 points per game. The Slidell, La., native also went over the century mark in assists as he now has posted 104 on the campaign for an average of 4.3 per contest.
Senior Michael O'Donnell, who recently missed six games with a shoulder injury, averages 9.0 points per game over his last three contests, and has hit 7-of-12 three-pointers over that span.
The Golden Eagles scored a season-high point total in the first meeting with the Roadrunners (4-23, 2-12) last month in an 86-70 win over UTSA at Reed Green Coliseum.
Southern Miss now leads the overall series with the Roadrunners, 3-1.
Following the UTSA game, the Golden Eagles return home Thursday, Feb. 25, when they entertain Rice in a 7 p.m., contest at Green Coliseum.
