Report: Southern Miss football continued preparation for the 2015 season opener with a two and a half hour practice in helmets, shoulder pads and shorts at the Joe P. Park Practice Facility on Wednesday evening. The Golden Eagles continued installation of the game plan for the weekend, while also focusing on special teams. The team dedicated several sessions of practice to individual work to go along with the team drills, as well as an emphasis on ball security.

How was practice today?
"It's all about what we can fix. What can we do that isn't the norm? And fixing any little things that can help us on Saturday night. It was a really good practice. Yesterday was solid; today was really spirited; and it looked like what you want it to look like. Guys were flying around and it's starting to get exciting which it should be."

How have preparations gone with you from camp and throughout this game week?
"My preparations throughout camp went well. It was mainly on mental focus dealing with calls. There were a lot of calls to process at once so I just wanted to get them all down pat. Now, we are ready to play ball."
