Football, Cheerleaders to Visit Gulf Coast Boys and Girls Clubs

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Members of the Southern Miss football team and cheerleading squad will take a visit to a pair of Boys and Girls Clubs on the gulf coast this Friday prior to the Beach Bash.
Golden Eagle football players, along with the cheerleaders and Seymour will be visiting the Boys and Girls Club of America (Forest Heights) in Gulfport, Miss. from 2:20-4:00 p.m. and they will also be visiting the Boys and Girls Club of America in Pass Christian from 2:45-4:30pm.
Following the visit to the Boys and Girls Clubs, the football team, cheerleaders and Seymour will head to the 17th Annual Gulf Coast Beach Bash sponsored by the Gulf Coast Metro Chapter of the Southern Miss Alumni Association. The event will be held Friday, July 24, beginning at 6 p.m., at Hardy Hall at the university's Gulf Park Campus (730 East Beach Blvd.) in Long Beach.
Golden Eagle football coach Todd Monken, assistant coaches, selected football players, Seymour and the Southern Miss cheerleaders will all be on hand to meet alumni and friends. Monken will also speak on this season during the event.
This family-friendly event will features include a funland for children, a photo booth and a silent auction. Proceeds from the event benefit the chapter's scholarship endowment for local students attending Southern Miss.
Tickets are $15 per adult and $7 per child. Dinner is included in the ticket purchase. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
