HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- As the countdown for the season-opener approaches, a Southern Miss men's basketball player will be featured each day in preparation for the 2015-16 season. The Golden Eagles open the season on the road against former Conference USA rival Memphis on Saturday, Nov. 14.
With nine days until tipoff for the regular season, freshman forward Tim Rowe is featured.

In high school, Rowe played forward at Berkmar High School in Lilburn, Ga. He helped the Patriots to the postseason in all four years of his career including three trips to the Elite 8. Rowe led BHS to three Regional Championships as a sophomore, junior and senior. He was named to the Georgia All-Star team as well as the Gwinnett All-Star team, while being tabbed First Team All-Region as a senior, and taking home Second Team All-Region accolades as a junior.
