Basketball to Make Five Appearances on ASN

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss men's basketball team will make at least five television appearances on American Sports Network (ASN) during the 2015-16 season, according to an announcement by the Conference USA office. With the addition of the games on ASN, the Golden Eagles now have six games slated to be on national TV.
Southern Miss opens its ASN television slate on Saturday, Dec. 19 when the Golden Eagles take on Sun Belt Conference Champions and NCAA Tournament team Georgia State at Reed Green Coliseum. Game time for the match up has been moved to 4:00 p.m. for television purposes.
The Golden Eagles' game at Florida Atlanta will be aired on Jan. 14. The game is set to tip off at 6:00 p.m. (CT).
Southern Miss will have its home game against Louisiana Tech broadcast on Jan. 23. Tipoff for the Golden Eagles and Bulldogs will be at 7:00 p.m. at Reed Green.
Saturday, Feb. 20, the Golden Eagles' game at UTSA will be aired, as well as the Thursday, March 3 match up at WKU. The game with the Roadrunners is now stated for 3:00 p.m., while the tilt with the Hilltoppers is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
In addition to the games slated for ASN, Southern Miss' home game against Alabama on Friday, Dec. 4 will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1.
Additional dates could still be chosen by American Sports Network. Southern Miss opens the 2015-16 slate with an exhibition game on Nov. 5 against Millsaps College. The regular season begins Nov. 14 when the Golden Eagles travel to Memphis.
