Softball to Host Meet the Team Dinner

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss softball team is hosting a Meet the Team dinner on Friday, Jan. 30. The event will take place in the Thad Cochran Center in Ballroom III at 6:30 p.m.
The dinner is free for all softball Diamond Club members and just $25 per person at the door for non-members.
"One of the goals of Southern Miss softball is to connect with the community," head coach Wendy Hogue said. "We are hoping that this Meet the Team dinner will allow us to do just that. Each player is going to have the opportunity to speak and let the fans know a little bit about themselves."
"We are anticipating a great night of food, fun and fellowship," Hogue added. "We hope to use this as a positive kick-start to the 2015 season."

The 2015 softball season begins on Friday, Feb. 6 at the Sand Dollar Classic in Gulf Shores, Ala. The Golden Eagles will face off against Jackson State at noon before taking on Houston at 3:00 p.m. The first home game of the year for Southern Miss is slated for Friday, Feb. 20 against Mississippi Valley State.
