HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Former Southern Miss defensive back Emmanuel Johnson (McKenzie, Ala.) helped his National squad capture a 17-0 victory over the American side here Saturday afternoon in the fourth National Football League Players Association Collegiate Bowl at the StubHub Center.
Johnson, who was a team captain for the squad, registered three tackles including one dazzling stop during the game that has been featured widely on social media. He also added one tackle for loss of seven yards.
The four-year letterwinner played for former NFL head coach Mike Martz, who was the head coach for the National team. Martz was the head coach for the St. Louis Rams from 2000-05.
