Promotions for the Appalachian State Game on Sept. 20

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - There are several exciting happenings going on around the Southern Miss home football game with Appalachian State on Sept. 20.
The game will be Southern Miss Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day and all of those individuals will be able to receive a buy one, get one free ticket special for the contest. Southern Miss faculty and staff may redeem this offer by going by the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office and presenting their University identification.
Prior to the game, the department will hold its annual Cheer Clinic, which is open to children ages four through eighth grade. The clinic will be held from 12 noon - 2 p.m. at the Payne Center with registration beginning at 11 a.m. The pre-registration deadline is Wed., Sept. 17.
The clinic includes instruction from Southern Miss cheerleaders, a pregame on-field performance (must have a game ticket), an opportunity to participate in Eagle Walk, a Cheer Clinic T-shirt, and a 2014 Southern Miss Cheer poster. Reduced group ticket pricing for family and friends of the participant are available. Registration for the clinic can be done by calling 601-266-6629.
It is also Boy Scouts Day at The Rock and includes ticket specials for all Boy Scouts and their families. Tickets for this promotion must be purchased through Brendan Jones at the Southern Miss Ticket Office at 601-266-4559. Boy Scouts in uniform that have a ticket to the game will be able to walk around the field during pregame. All scouts and scout leaders are asked to meet by Gate 9 by 4:30 p.m., to take part in this event.
The game will also feature the unveiling of the latest Southern Miss M-Club Hall of Fame class in a presentation during halftime and it will be All-South Band Day.
