Junior Dallas Anglin sat down with Southern Miss Media Relations to answer a few questions:
What made you choose Southern Miss?
The great environment in Hattiesburg. This is a winning program and I love the South.
How has the transition been from junior college to Division I?
It's a big transition, especially playing for (Coach Sadler). There's a lot of things, like IQ. It's a different offense and defense. But, overall, it's been a smooth transition.
What are your personal and team goals for the season?
My personal goals are my team goals. I just want us to win the conference and go to the NCAA Tournament.
If there is one player that you try to model your game after, who would it be and why?
Monta Ellis. He's an explosive guard who can play both on and off the ball.
Has there been a returning player that has taken you under their wing?
Jeremiah Eason and I are definitely close. He's one of the closest guys on the team. He's showed me all around Hattiesburg. It's definitely been JE.
What are you listening to when getting ready for a game?
I have an older brother named Shawn Tyree. He's an artist so I listen to him before my games.
What's the best advice you're ever received?
The next play.
