Men's Hoops Preparing for 2014-15 Season

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - With a week to go before its exhibition game, the Southern Miss men's basketball team continues to prepare for the 2014-15 season.
The Golden Eagles return just five letterwinners from last year's team finished with a school record-tying 29 wins. Southern Miss also added seven newcomers. Among those seven are three junior college transfers, three freshmen and one transfer.
"I'm really happy with our effort and attitude, said head coach Doc Sadler. "Obviously, our execution is not where it needs to be right now. Things are going to speed up, but as long as we continue to work and have a good attitude, this is a team that will continue to get better and better."
Southern Miss begins the 2014-15 campaign with an exhibition game on Nov. 6 against Mississippi College. The season officially begins on Nov. 14 versus crosstown foe William Carey. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
