Men's Basketball Performs Community Service

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's basketball team took some time last week to do some community service.

First, the team visited the Boys & Girls Club of Hattiesburg on Thursday. Members of the team spent the afternoon playing with the elementary and middle school aged kids. They stressed the importance of staying active through exercise and physical activities. The team then played basketball with the kids.

The following day, the Golden Eagles spent time at the Emeritus Park Retirement Center. The team used the community's exercise program, while helping to lead stretching exercises with senior citizens.
