Men's Hoops Adds Junior College Standout

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss associate head men's basketball coach Steve Barnes has announced the signing of Mike Myers (Camden, N.J.) to a letter-of-intent and grant-in-aid for the 2012-13 academic year.
Myers, a 6-8, 210-lb forward from Camden, N.J. was a First Team All-Conference South Zone selection from Angelina College. He was also named First Team All-Region XIV. He was second in the conference with 24.1 points while pulling down 9.1 rebounds. Myers also led the conference in field goal percentage, connecting on 64.6-percent of his shots. He also led Angelina with 49 steals and 30.8 minutes played.
As a freshman in 2010-11, Myers averaged 9.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, which was good for second on team, and 1.2 steals.
