Football Picked No. 25 in Blue Ribbon Preseason National Rankings

Southern Miss has been chosen No. 25 in the Blue Ribbon Football Yearbook preseason 2011 poll in a release by the publication Monday.
The Golden Eagles, which finished 8-5 last season and captured its school-record tying 17th consecutive winning season, is the only Conference USA program listed in the poll. Last week, the publication tabbed the Golden Eagles as the top team in C-USA's East Division.
The 2011 season opens Sept. 3, at home, against Louisiana Tech. Season tickets are still available by going online at SouthernMiss.com, calling 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or visiting the Pat Ferlise Athletic Ticket Office from 8 a.m., until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
