HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss held its ninth practice of the spring Wednesday afternoon. The practice was moved to M.M. Roberts Stadium due to rain earlier in the day.
Head coach Larry Fedora is starting to see that the team is getting more comfortable with the playbook, and they are responding to it.
"There was a really good energy level today," said Fedora. "We had guys moving around. There were probably fewer mental mistakes today than we've had in most of our other practices. I think the guys are starting to feel comfortable with what has been put in. Now that they know (the playbook), they can start playing harder, and that's what they are doing right now."
Southern Miss will hold its final traveling scrimmage this Friday at Pearl High School at 5:30 p.m.
