Football Announces Two JC Signings

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss football program announced the signing of two junior college student-athletes, linebacker Dylan Reda (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) and defensive end Adam Williams (Tunica, Miss.), for the 2012 season.
Reda, at 6-foot-2, 235, has played the last two seasons for Geoff Jones at Santa Ana College, where he posted 174 career tackles to go along with 10 sacks, as well as a fumble recovery that he returned 77 yards for a touchdown in the two-year stint. He was an All-East Conference selection twice and was his team's defensive Most Valuable Player his sophomore campaign.
As a prep standout, Reda played for Eric Patton at San Clemente High School where he tallied 130 career tackles with 10 sacks as he earned three varsity letters there. He was an all-County and All-conference selection his senior campaign.
Williams, at 6-foot-3, 245, played the last two seasons for coach Freeman Horton at Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, Miss.
Prior to his two-year junior college stint, Williams played both offensive and defensive line at Rosa Fort High School for coach Terry Smith. His senior squad reached the first round of the state playoffs. He tallied 12 tackles in a game against Hernando and 14 stops and a forced fumble against Lafayette. Williams added two sacks against in a 26-25 victory over Senatobia his senior campaign as well.
