Southern Miss Receiving Votes; Tickets Still Available for Memphis

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - After its 86-69 victory over then-22nd ranked UCF, the Southern Miss men's basketball team received votes in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today Coaches Polls, released this afternoon.

It is the first time that the Golden Eagles have received votes in either poll since the 2000-01 season. That year, they received votes for six weeks in the AP poll and five in the Coaches poll.

Southern Miss closes its two-game homestand this Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m. Fans are encouraged to buy their tickets early to avoid long lines on Wednesday.

The Southern Miss ticket office will be open starting Tuesday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Fans can order their tickets by calling 1-800-844-TICK, or stop by the Ferlise Center, as well as online at southernmiss.com.
