Military Appreciation Game Set for Saturday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - In addition to it being Senior Day this Saturday, the Southern Miss football game against Houston will also celebrate Military Appreciation Day during its final 2010 home regular-season contest.
Game time is set for 7 p.m., at Carlisle-Faulkner Field at Roberts Stadium. For Military Appreciation Day, the Southern Miss Athletics Department is selling discounted tickets for $5 Top of the Rock seating to active military and veterans with Military IDs. In addition, there will be $10 and $15 tickets for Southern Miss faculty and staff.
A military appreciation party for current military as well as veterans and both groups' families will be hosted by Toyota of Hattiesburg and the Southern Miss Athletics Department will be held prior to the game on Pride Field. Wrist bands for this party can be obtained from Toyota of Hattiesburg (1620 West Pine). There will also be military vehicles on display at Pride Field as well as the band "Double Dee" playing for entertainment.
During pre-game festivities, both the Wounded Warrior Project as well as the Mississippi Youth Football organization will be recognized and, following the game, there will be a Centennial fireworks show.
