SAAC Selling T-Shirts for Military Appreciation Day

The student-athletes at Southern Miss are grateful to the United States Armed Forces for all they do to protect our country, both foreign and domestic. Many of our student-athletes are very passionate about showing their appreciation to those who serve or have served, and have actively been involved in helping to make the upcoming Military Appreciation Day a success. The interest of the student-athletes is not only to recognize these brave men and women on days which are designated for them, but to continually build that relationship by taking trips to visit the troops at Camp Shelby, offering sports clinics and participating in leadership training events on base. Our Southern Miss student-athletes understand that had it not been for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, and those who currently serve, they would be unable to enjoy the freedoms that they have and the opportunity to participate in collegiate athletics.
In an effort to help contribute to the care of those who have been wounded in the line of duty, and as a way to say "Thank You" the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is selling Military Appreciation Day t-shirts for the Southern Miss v. Tulsa football game on November 21st. Proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project and the CHAMPS/Life Skills program for student-athletes.
T-shirts are white $12 for short sleeves and $15 for long sleeves. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. See order form for details.
Orders need to be sent to me Lauren Hillman no later than Tuesday, Nov. 17th @ noon. T-shirts will be available for pick-up after 3pm on Thursday, Nov. 19th and all day Friday. Nov. 20th in the West Football Stadium on the 1st floor of the Student Academic Enhancement Program or Saturday on Pride Field at the Military Appreciation Tailgate tent.
