Southern Miss Cross Country Team Runs at Memphis Twilight Meet

Memphis, Tenn. - The Southern Miss women's cross country team competed in the Brooks Memphis Twilight Meet Saturday and finished 23rd overall in the 5K race.
Sophomore Zuna Portillo-Rodriguez (48th) was the top finisher for the Golden Eagles, crossing the finish line in a time of 20:06.02. Faith Ngobiro (105) crossed the line with a time of 21:43.10.
Rounding out the Golden Eagle finishes were LaSheika Dinkins (138) ran a time of 22:44.28, followed by Terria Wheeler (176) with a time of 24:14.14, Cheris Fletcher (185) posted a time of 24:36.40 and Jolisa Evans (214) ran a time of 26:34.84.
Southern Miss returns to action Sept. 26 when the team hosts its second cross country meet.
